Stack-On Gun Cabinets....worth the money?

Looking at a 10-gun double-door model for $399 with free delivery. I know they aren't fireproof, but I just want to limit access. If the house catches fire then oh well.
LINK Identical to this one, but I can get it cheaper.

They are good for a place to keep your guns and keep them from kids. They won't stop many thieves but may stop the smash and grabbers. Better than pulling them up in a closet.

My main concern. My nephews are getting older and they're nosy as shite

I have an alarm system so hopefully that would ward off thieves. I'd like to get a nice fireproof one but $1000+ is a lot of cash

I use a stack on for my ammo. It's ok if that's all you can afford. More secure than the corner of a closet.
Eventually though make the investment in something more secure. Scratch and dent sales can get you a really good safe for less than the cost of a new gun.

That's what I like about the double door model I linked. The extra storage area looks perfect for ammo and accessories.

Where does this happen?

Check Lowes, Home Depot, and Tractor supply online. They may have a safe with a fire rating for a little more than what you are looking at.

Yeah really, I spoke to quite a few and wrote to others and none said they had S&D. Might be a go in a see type thing.
I would think Stack-On's are good to keep your children away from them, not much more.

Cannon Challenger 24 gun
Really like this one, might need to dip into the savings a bit. Would give me plenty of room for the future too.

Haven't decided on one yet myself. That Cannon Challenger 24 gun is one that I have looked at.

Barring any unforseen deal, I'm probably gonna get one.

Spend the money on a safe and bolt it to the the slab.
Your original thought is correct - I'm doing the same thing because of neighborhood kids. But the way things are going, theives are loading gun "cabinets" and even safes onto a dolly and walking out with it.
