I shot an 8 point up at kisatchie and it had these little black things (looked like black beans) like it was embedded in the clear membrane all over on the tenderloins and some on the neck. I discarded the tenderloins and the neck. Everything else looked good so I kept it. Anyone else ever seen these black bean looking things on the tenderloin?

Without looking it up, it sounds like something I do not want to eat.

You did the right thing, next time I’ll dispose of the tenderloins for you.

I’ve seen those little black bean looking things many times. But they’re on the outside tissue. I just peel them off and eat the meat.
But I grew up poor and will eat anything. Meat would have to be straight up rotten for me to throw out.

I feel like they are always around the tenderloins.

I've seen them in the same spots, neck mainly. We clean them completely off as we butcher, no issues. You can basically pick them off, they are external to the muscle tissue.
