lionfish was pretty neat. didn't know they had those in the gulf.

they're not supposed to be there. They are invasive. People bought them for aquariums and when they decided they didn't want them anymore they dumbed them into the gulf.




And slick, a guy in our club used to charter but it was extremely stressful for him and way too dangerous. There is an obvious learning curve and if you mess up the consequences could be deadly.

All depends where you are diving and if you want to or not.

They like relatively shallow or very deep water. If you go looking for them it isn't hard to find them.

They don't mess with us though.

Speaking of sharks, they were EVERYWHERE last weeknd and they were destroying our baits.

How deep was the water, how far offshore were yall?

We ran out to Pisces. frick the sharks. They were all the 5-6' brown sharks with the thresher type tail. What kind are those?

The cobia came up to the boat when we tied up actually. Most were between 5'-60'
Warmer water = more and bigger lemonfish yesterday
