Anyone have one? Looking to buy new mower and they seem to be well made and a lot cheaper than others.

Go see Mr Donnie Smith at Outdoor Power in Woodville, Ms. He will show you everything about them. He also sells Bad Boy and Ferris. They service what they sell.

There's a reason they're cheaper. Start with the warranty they offer compared to the major brands. They don't handle the small details.

I cut with two a 60” and 54” and absolutely love them. They are made extremely tough. Cut and ride good also.

I have the 60” version. Built like a tank. Have had a great experience so far after a year. Mow approximately 9 acres with it.

Which motor do you have. I cut 4 acres and would like at least 60 inch. Have a 72 ex mark now but on its last leg.

I have the Kawasaki fr730 24 hp. Cuts through the thickest of grass. Been very happy with it.

It came into existence when the Bad Boy owners split.

I sold some and they are decent and customers who cuts large acreage have some spindle complaints. At the end of the day when you are cutting large properties it is what it is. This is where the units feel at home is on larger properties.

If it used for inside a city manicured lawns I would not recommend the product as the quality of cut is a little below avg. It not built for that either it a large property owner unit.

They got their quirks along with most other brands. If you feel your dealer will service you that is the key with Spartan.

We saw alot of pulley and spindle issues with them. Company just acted like they had no issues, dropped them.

That why I said if your dealer will service you and left it at that.

Second reason my stores need a full line which includes hydro walks and stand on units. To eliminate vendors I want one that gives me the full line.

I think Wilsonpickett has residential Hustler units. 1 acre residential you really don’t need much. Looking more at deck or unit size with the ability to get in and out of tight areas if you have obstacles along with storage.

Be ready to buy spindles, pulleys, and key pads often. They warranty them for 1 year and them it's your nickel to replace them. They're cheaper in price, but cost of long term ownership will be more expensive

That’s the thing I was afraid of. My gravely has been bullet proof. Never been in the shop in 7 years. Never done anything to it but sharpen blades and change oil. My dad has a bad boy and really likes his, so I was considering that at well

Gravely ZT HD

I bought the 52" with the Kawasaki. Absolute tank for residential use. ZT-3100 is better than most residential units. 4 year 500 hour warranty. Cuts great and seems to be very well built. I did a lot of research when looking for my residential unit and I'm glad I did.

Was at my local dealer recently to get a few parts for my 8 year old ZT 50. Got a good look at that one while I was there and I was very impressed with it. I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

I purchased a Spartan SRT Pro 61" mower earlier this year and have about 35 hours on it. Overall, I am pleased with it and it's a beast that's a huge upgrade compared to my old Hustler Raptor SD 60. I think they are a good fit for large rural properties, but probably not heavy duty enough for commercial use. I have had several "teething" problems breaking in the new mower... some nuts/bolts were on too tight or too loose that made it difficult to change the deck cutting height, the oil filter came loose and was leaking oil, etc. Those things should not be happening on a mower that you are paying that amount of money for.
