Public land, SE MN. Called a trio of two year olds off the field in the background (private land), on to public and smacked one. First public land bird. First year living up here.

I've always heard that wild turkey is so much better than store bought Butterball types to eat.

Any truth to this?

If so, I may have to go in the hunt this year.

I like the breast meat cut into strips and fried. Haven’t figured out a way to eat the leg meat and like it.

Slow cook them then debone and put into a Mexican soup. Meateater cook book has an awesome recipe.

Opening weekend in South Texas (will be my first). Then back to MS to give it a go, there are tons on camera, maybe I’ll get lucky

Mainly hunt a lease in Tate County, MS. Will also hunt my mom's land in Greene County, AL whenever I can get over for a weekend
