Actually, this is like going on a deer hunt and sitting underneath the feeder... or on the outside of the high fence in Millerman's case.

Why not run a switch and when they pull up and get their gear out turn off the lights, then when they move off a little turn them back on and off and on see how long they stay
I do this at TB I have a breaker in the house that turns all the power off to the dock. Makes for some cheap entertainment especially after a few cases

I would figure out a way for them to "catch" a ziploc bag full of your poop. Maybe rig it up some weights so it will sink to the bottom but then have like a bunch of seaweed or similar that they could snag their line on.

just drop a big snake in the bottom of their boat...make sure you have the gopro on...
