I think its a juvenile speckled king snake. Just looking for confirmation.

King snake, we called them salt and pepper king snakes, non venomous.

I have one of those living under my deck...takes everything I can muster not to kill that bastard when I see it stretched out...

I know, and that is the only reason it is still alive...I really don't think that it eats all that many other creatures, but I am trying to be a better human being by not killing it...
