Sometimes you get what you pay for. I honestly believe waders are one of those things. Same goes for escorts

Chene sizes them by boot and body size

Is that truly custom?

I don't know the company so genuinely curious.

There's a company in Oregon that is truly custom but obviously you have to go in for a fitting.

I don’t necessarily disagree with you, and I actually do have a pair of Magellan’s neoprenes I bought last year for $80, but always feel like I’m about to tear the neos wide open when I’m hunting. I’m def wader poor, but I’m curious if the Sitkas are actually worth the money.

Dans are custom fit-ish. You pick your boots and send your measurements and they fit them that way.

Check out LaCrosse. I think they offer some various sizes.

That’s because most of us that wear a 12/13 are anything but slim.

My two sons however are 6’3” and 6’6”, both wear a 14/15, and struggle to tip 220#. This has been a helpful thread.

I have had good luck with these and you can catch them on sale for $100 or less sometimes.

If I go expensive I will look at getting Simms stocking waders, the wading shoes are a lot easier to get around in.

Hell I still have my Cabela’s neoprenes I got for $100 7-8 years ago. I’ll wear them if I’m deer hunting immediately after duck, or fishing when it’s cold. A few patches here and there but all good. I like my Rogers because I can zip in heavy insulation for days like this coming weather. My next will have the front zipper, if I have to pay a few bucks more for a quality wader and the convenience, I will. Just a matter of finding that balance of price!

Thanks for all of the replies. I found some Avery insulated breathable waders that’s seen like they’ll do the job. The best pair he’s ever owned were the treadlite from academy... hopefully these will live up to that.
$340 but 30% off at Security Sporting Goods in Alexandria.

Wise wise council, Lol. I am in year 5 of Sitka. One repair trip. Fixed perfectly. So far so good. Chene is top quality as well and may try them next.

Duck Camp are trim and a little less expensive than Chene or Sitka.

My High & Dry breathable waders are a bit more slim than most.
