Looking to get a new 9mm micro for concealed carry. Got to play with a Sig 365 recently and I think I'm going that direction, but I like FN and they look almost interchangeable.

Anybody got much experience with these?

I got to play with my nephews and he had a Naked Holster for it. That is the slickest little minimalist CC rig I've seen and I like it a lot. But I haven't messed with the FN yet. Wondering if anybody has any experience with them and what you think?

I’ve not seen the FN but have an Sig p365 xl.

I’d argue that it’s one of, if not the best EDC in the market right now.

My EDC is an X Macro with a Black Diamond Point leather/kydex combo ... I love the P365. I intend to switchover to an all leather forward cant Galco or similar soon. A clip on.

(Honestly, for someone just starting out in CCW, I recommend one might also look at the S&W Shield 2.0 Plus. Great little carry pieces.)

ETA: After trying several new clip on IWB options on this morning, I went with a Falco Leather A123, custom configured, cant'ed and cut for my optic. $149.00 and they told me I'd have it in four to six weeks.

Falco Leather Holsters IWB holster with underlay and sights protection for concealed carry, forward cant.

I have a 509 and unless they've changed, the FN triggers leave a lot to be desired compared to the 365.

509 is Striker fired. Reflex is Hammer. And that trigger is one of the things the reviews all say is better on the Reflex.

P365 X macro owner. Best CCW out there in IMO. I have had a shield, Hellcat, Walther PPS etc. I really like my Springfield EMP9 as well but 1911's aren't for everyone. The aftermarket options for the 365 are limitless. Sig hit it out of the park with the 365 series.

Mine
Added the sig extended slide stop
Craft Armory flat trigger and grip module
DPM Recoil spring system
Carry it in a four brothers kydex which is awesome

Check out the new S&W Bodyguard 2.0 if you would be willing to look at a .380. More of a pocket carry but looks nice with a lot of real good reviews. Includes 10+1 and 12 +1 mags.

365 XL with extended mag release

Order the Mag Guts kit that converts the 12 round factory mag to 14 round

Tough to beat this

That brings up another good question. For these pistols in 9mm I've been using Hornady Critical Defense. Critical Duty for full size.

What is the new hotness these days?

As already posted the Hornady HSTs are all the rage.

I handload 147 grain VCrowns for mine that are low recoil, maximum expansion at FBI optimal penetration velocities of just over 1000 fps. They're great out of all of my Sigs from the P226s, to P320s and the P365. Vitavouri 320 is the way to go with the VCrowns.

Either gold dot or HSTs for me, 124gr. I used to focus on +P but I started getting away from it for the compact pistols.

365 x macro (365 when clothing dictates). x macro is the best pistol I have ever felt in my hands. No experience with FN

I have always carried gold dot. Last time I ordered some I got the standard 115 grain. I know with the 124 grain the +p helps with getting enough speed to get good expansion with the heavier round. 115 grain was more available, and 115 is what I shoot regularly for target rounds.

You can go from a 10+1 flush mag to 17+1 in a slightly extended mag in a regular 365. It's awesome.
