How much we talking here? I’d love to have a Parker 20.

Sub gauge Sxs shotguns in general command a premium over a 12 gauge. The lowest grade Parker’s are a Trojan, followed by the VH the lowest graded models. Expect to pay $1200-$2k depending on condition and desirable features like preferred barrel length.

Does anyone currently manufacture a SxS in 20 gauge with functioning hammers?

Besides a cowboy gun or two, I think the only current production is really high-end bespoke guns. Lots of older used hammer guns are still around.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Purdy showroom in London. Was greeted by a proper Englishman. I explained to him that their guns were out of my price range but I always heard how great they were and just wanted to lust over them. To my surprise he told me I was welcome to come in and do so. He fitted me in a pair of white cotton gloves and let me handle several models. Truly were things of beauty and craftmanship! Thanked me for coming in and said keep us in mind if your circumstances should change. If I ever win the lottery, I am going back to London to be fitted for one(I can dream)!

Vincents pawn shop - covington.

A 12 and a 20.

I had planned on one or both coming home with me, but ended up buying a white lighting in 16 for a really good price.

I have my Dads 12 ga Lefever Arms Nitro Special with 30” barrels.

Dad took many a squirrel with that shotgun over a 50 year span.

Damn you did awesome. I am going to look at the 20g in person if it still there next time I am in the area. It looks a little rough from the pictures for the price they want.

There was a good orvis podcast on heritage guns. Mainly sxs, they said to look over the barrels make sure they are not overbored to shoot 3", choke tubes can be an issue to because barrels are often thin. Take home message was be careful, look for bulged barrels, make sure they were shooting proper loads, not high power or steel shot as the barrels are not designed for those loads. If there were aftermarket items done it often decreases value and could be a red flag.
At a game farm I helped out with a client showed up driving a Ferrari and w a purdy .... waaaaay out of my price range but was a nice guy

Remeber, its a pawn shop. They start high, and everything is negotiable.

Not bad people at all

Yeah I saw and asked about it and he pulls out this book and says it's worth 3200 or 2300 something something. I was suspicious something was wrong so I said "why so cheap?". He says "I can't sell guns like this around here." So I took it. Choked tighter than Gordon Ramsey's sphincter. I have probably killed 4 or 5 turkey with it for fun. Lays them out. Clay pigeons? If you let them get out a ways...

I did that too. Lots of history in that company and that building. Guy told me it would take up to two years to get a gun if I ordered one. He said it takes 1000 man hours of work.
