My neighbor just pulled up on the island with a new CF MOTO UFORCE 1000. 18K out the door with 5 hear extended warranty for a giantb6 seater amd every bell and whistle. It's a very good looking machine at a good price. I don't know if I could pull the trigger on one, but I see the appeal.

A guy came and hunted with us this year and showed up with this. It's pretty nice, but to spend >$60,000 for a hunting ride seems crazy to me.

Always gonna be people who have more money than sense.
I went from hauling corn and hanging sprayers/seeders off a 99’ yamaha 350, having to change clothes before I got in the truck from the mud, to a 1000 sxs. I have not shed one single tear from the nostalgia of not using my old fourwheeler as much.

but I drove by a 21’ bay boat yesterday with $80K on the sticker.
And I laugh at those as well

You picked the limited rather than a base which is like 12k cheaper.

I’ve beat the shite out of my canam defender on the farm. Still doesn’t miss a beat. I’ll buy another one when this one dies.

Idk why guys like that lie about how much they spent.
Hell it's all stock except for a set of 35s on fake beadlocks and some tint.

Electrics will start to fail within 6 months.
He'll be happy to get 6k for it next year when he finally gives up on it.

You can laugh all you want, a POS mako from bass pro has a 80K sticker on it in Joe’s economy. If you have a boat or sxs from before 2019 that’s in good shape and paid off then take care of it, because shite has changed since the last time you shopped.

Oh, I get it, it's gotten ridiculous. I shopped for almost 18months after the covid upshoot on boat prices before I found and pulled the trigger on a 2016 bay boat that was basically like new, for what felt like a steal. I could and would like to go bigger soon, but can't bring myself to pay the inflated prices.

quote:not quite sure where you heard this but Honda first came out with this in 2010 and has been improving it since then. Probably the most reliable drive system of any of the manufacturers out there.
the reliability of the DCT isn't proven long term yet

False. The issue is the dct depends upon the user to use the proper range. And if they don't, it's 10x more expensive than a belt on a polaris (which also requires that the user uses the proper range).
The most reliable is the Yamaha Viking or the Honda 700 (not a DCT).
Why? Both have a lubricated clutch that tolerates a stupid user.
Now, if you use a dct properly and service it regularly, it is by far the longest lasting design. It simply isn't very refined. It does get smoother with age and proper oil selection.
The new system to watch is the ranger XD, it's essentially a 1950s hydro transmission with a metallic belt taking the place of the torque converter. Given it's simplicity, it has the potential to be THE system to beat. Knowing polaris, it will need kinks worked out...

I know a few people who have one and none have had this issue.

Bought the CForce 1000 ATV and have not had any issues. Purchased this during the pandemic when nothing else was available. Came standard with a winch, full cover skid plates, bead lock wheels, front and rear brush guards hand guards, and other smaller options. Purchased the second seat option.
Wasn't my first pick but so far it has been a good machine. The UForce might be different.

Honda pioneer 1000 if you want to keep it over 5 years. canam hd10 if you plan to keep it less than 5 years.

Why do you think the electrical will fail?

Every dealership that starts selling these stops selling them because the electrical gremlins start to add up. It's chinese wiring.
I build tons of small pit bikes, and usually I start with a small chinese engine (lifan, gox, piranha, even the odd ssr). The engines are copies of japanese deaigns and generally casting and machining is good enough. I always throw away the carbs/fuel injection/wiring harnesses. They can't make those parts worth a shite.
There are multiple cf moto z800s abandoned at hunting camps around me. Why? Electrics. They make zero effort to seal anything and use the shittiest copper and aluminum known to man.
It's a garbage product that does not belong in the same discussion as any non chinese manufacturer.

Had a Polaris and now have a Tracker (Artic Cat) and must say the Tracker is leaps and bounds better than the polaris. I've had the Tracker 3-4 years now and have never had to do work on it....at this point the polaris was costing me $500 left and right.

Isn't arctic cat made by Textron?

Textron is also heavily involved in developing and manufacturing for the U.S. military and builds such brands as Bell Helicopter, Beechcraft, Hawker, Cessna aviation, and Lycoming Engines. And of course, they also build quality off-road vehicles and Artic Cat snow machines."
