Shotgun Recommendations?

Anyone have recommendations on a new shotgun? Looking to stay in the 1k range. Sporting an older wingmaster given to me by my grandpaw and I believe its time to retire it. Plan to use it on a few duck hunts a year and skeet shooting.

Franchi affinity. Have 20 and 12 gauge and both are sweet shooting guns under your budget.

Benelli montefeltro is the best deal out there at the $1000 price point IMO. Its all the quality of a top of the line benelli with a no frills price tag.

Depending on how old the Remington is I would consider spending a pile of money having it restored. If it is a for real wingmaster and not one made in the 80's or later you could not get a better pump gun at any price, in my opinion.

Franchi Affinity Elite is right at 1k....Montefeltro is a tad higher than 1k
I'd personally recommend a Stoeger M3000/M3500 and spend the extra money on chokes and Boss shells

Was checking these out earlier, seemed super nice.

Yeah I'm not sure how old it is, I was given it after his passing. It has the duck stamp on it as well which is a sign of it being a true Wingmaster from what I have researched. Its been a great gun, hope to pass it down to my kid one day.

Oh ok, I was going to recommend going to Bowies because all of their shotguns are in an open display where you can browse/shoulder all of them without having to ask a salesperson...very convenient for comparing shotguns and they have most of popular brands and models.

I went through this exact situation a year ago.
Only wanted to spend $1k, but came across the retay masai mara 3.5 and ended up buying one for about $1300. They come with 5 chokes. Out of the box, they are one of the most accurate shotguns on a 30/40 yard spread. It also includes shims/spacers that you can custom fit to how the gun reacts to your personal shooting.
Go read randywakemans blogs about shotguns, he is a die hard retay fan, and does an incredible job comparing shotguns.
I’ve been overly pleased with its performance. I’ve shot 3.5 turkey loads as well as 7/8oz skeet low brass cheap shells, and haven’t had one issue with loading or ejecting.
Just my two cents.

I've narrowed my search down to that one and the Franchi Affinity Elite

Absoluetly...if it is a true wingmaster it is only going to increase in actual value and having belonged to three generations from your grandfather to your son makes its value incalculable. Even if its a later model the latter would be true but if it is the former even more better.

Franchi Affinity, stick with the 3".
