I got her from a guy in Waller which is about an hour from Houston. I'll ask him and see if he knows anyone in LA.

He's a Deutsch Drahthaar. Bought him from Vom Fenco Kennels in Mt Pleasant Texas.

Plenty of good GSP breeders in the state. A lot of owners on this board should chime in soon and be able to point you in the right direction.

ETA - googled for a quicker answer. Some say it is, some say it isn't. Going to assume, someone who says Drahthaar will say they are different

One article I (briefly) read said one was an offshoot of the other. Seems like you're in agreement with that - ? Compared it to springer spaniels and cocker spaniels. Those look different though, DD and GWP look the same - to me at least

I haven't been able to work with her yet, just picked her up on sunday afternoon. She's amazing on a lead, i haven't been able to get her out with an e-collar on yet. He says she's just as good with the e-collar.
