I don't get to go out often but am going out next weekend for kids elementary school fishing rodeo. Where the specks and reds biting? How are the MRGO rocks doing? Ycloskey area? Delacroix?

Where they biting? Help a brotha out.

Reds around Hopedale are jumping on the boat. You don’t even need bait on your hook.

Mrgo rocks near the gulf. Not the close ones. Trout far out.

Fished Goshier and Breton Islands today and came up empty. Lot of boats by the rocks.

I don’t think any body of water in SELA is lacking fish right now. Freshwater or saltwater.

Fresh water, they are surely not in Des Allamands. Spent all day from Salvador to lake des Allemands and it was tough. Tried bass, sacs, brim, took a break and loaded up on mid sized catfish at the train bridge. Although my glitter boat is vintage, there must be a tournament of some sort out there bc it was packed with some really nice new ones with sponser decals.
Daddy daughter day today, so you know how that goes with a ten year old girl! I caught a few fish, she caught every tree we passed by! She had a ball though. Wife, four year old son and the daughter tomorrow morning. All prayers will be greatly appreciated!

Looked like just south of here got hammered pretty good by the afternoon storms today. Stayed below us but gave us some good cool wind for the runs between spots. Wind in general seemed to be the fight for us out there today. With a 12/24 trolling motor, it was pretty much a 24v day all day just to stay in place. Would have killed for two power poles this morning!

Thanks for the replys. I'm going with a buddy in a Yellowfin 32', so we will not be going in the marsh. My guess is we will head out to Chandelier and Gossier and stop at the rocks along the way (Close MRGO and the ones out at the end) and maybe again on the way back in. We might go sample some fish at the 7 mile rigs....... That could be fun.

Will have the children on board (4 of them bastids). so I'll most likely just be deck handing it with sporadic fishing mixed in. We'll get fish, just hope we don't have to work too hard for them.

Thanks again.
