I'd say mid 150s due to the mass, beam length and spread. Looks like he carries his mass all the way out.

If you want to help with the no eye guard problem start shooting the one with out. As soon as they are 2 1/2 and they don't have eye guard shoot them.

If you don't shoot him this year he will die of heart attack. Lay off the persimmons fat shite.

That gravity feeder is similar to mine but not quite the same up top.

I have three other pics of the deer. It isn't shopped, horns like that are very probable on a deer with that body. But it is the biggest 8 I have ever seen on our place.

I wasn't saying it was the same feeder. I'm saying I think I know where you are. Don't worry though, I ain't talking.

Sure did. Not me I the pic, but I was there. He was 7.5 yrs old and was a 12 pt. the yr before. I don't really care if you believe me.

He had passed on him onThanksgiving weekend because he had his 9 yr old daughter in the stand with him and wasn't going to ruin her with it. Took him 3 or so weeks later. Dude in the picture is not small. They've had 7300 acres under management since 1991.

i just dont do high fences.

We are free range and surrounded by another hunting club. The only fencing we have is to keep hogs away from our feeders

Hahaha it is in Arkansas. That's all you guys get. If it wasn't straight off the card I would have thought it was shopped.
the locals near my place in north Arkansas tell me deer season starts on the 4th of July.

That score sounds a little far fetched.....but ive seen some that were deceiving in pictures. Thats a damn good deer, just 158 is waaay up.

I understand you being skeptical. The only thing I can say is this guy and his brother are life long friends of mine and this guy has 3 190+" deer hanging on his wall, I want to say one is very close to 200" but I'm not certain. There is no way he would have shoulder mounted this 8 if it were under 150. Also, I say 8, but he has a small 2" kicker on the left G2, but he's really a main frame 8.

I didn't intend to hijack this thread, only share my thoughts... Sorry to OP.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but we rough score a lot of deer on the hoof and every buck we shoot. Obviously your buddy has a well managed ranch with big arse deer, but that deer would be lucky to go 150"

hard to tell, one way to be sure, shot his arse cousin. (Related to everyone in Arkansas if you are at least two generations back)

Here's a little different angle... I know you guys aren't being any different than I would be, it's just that I was there and I saw it being measured. I KNOW it was 158"

It field dressed 196lbs by the way.

Its a good deer but not a 140s deer. Its hard to get an 8 point to be a 140 deer. Quick score if this one and I will be generous.

3" g1
8" g2
7" g3
6" h1
5" h2
3" h3
3" h4
20" beam
Makes 58
Double it to 116
Inside spread 20
Thats 136 and those are generous numbers

Thank you oh, I was coming in this thread with some generous measurements myself.

To the other guy that's saying 158 on that deer. I'll give it mid 130s.
