A hank makes A LOT of sausage. I moved apartments twice in 5 yrs before I was able to use an entire hank making boudin. Would make about two gallon-size ziplocs worth of links every now and again. Threw away what was left on the last move purge.

People making sausage and processing deer should really utilize Rebels butcher supply in Jackson. They have everything you can possibly need, quality seasoning mixes, and will be at your front door in a couple days. Highly recommend

I was recommending it to the people who have the capacity to make sausage, or decent food in general. Not you.

Regardless the folks who own the place can’t spell college. Much less have an affiliation with one. I’ve met them

Rebel butcher products are great. I have been using their smoked sausage seasoning for a long time. They have everything you need to get started. They also make a very good BBQ rub.

FYI if you’ve had Vines sausage you’ve had Rebel seasoning.

Some of yall really dont know sausage casing lol. A hank will make approximately 100 lbs of sausage. A hank cost roughly $20 and thats me buying it by the 5 gallon bucket. You can buy the small packs for around $5 at most grocery stores but it isn't close to a hank and its generally much shorter pieces and a smaller diameter casing. Ideally for sausage a 32-35mm casing works best but for Boudin or Andouille you can go larger.

I don't understand what the problem is in this thread. Go buy packs for $5 ea at your local AG store when you are making sausage. Buy an extra pack and either freeze or discard what you have left over.

Understand but one of the post said you can buy a hank for $5 which isn't true.
