I'll add i did buy a rusted 3rd gen, it had been undercoated and looked ok at the time. I bought it for the full shrockworks bumpers and rock rails and it was an ok price for just the goodies. After finding the cancer I later found a rust free version with bumper damage for 1k and swapped the toys over. But avoid rust on toyotas.

Pass on this one and find another, not worth the hassle.

Toyota had trouble with rusty frames in that time period and stood behind the vehicles much more than any of the big three would have but even after owners got replacement frames as part of a service campaign I doubt anyone was happy at the end.

It was pretty common to see pics of that generation of Tundras literally folding in half on service lifts in the rust belt.

Not worth the risk IMHO.
