Niban Granular

Does anyone have experience with this stuff? I haven't seen a roach in my home, but I was messing around the attic yesterday and noticed a few small ones scurrying around. The silverfish can be found inside every now and then, but more prevalent in the attic. If you suggest any other "set it and forget it" type bait, please suggest it.

I’ve used these in and around my hunting camp. Camp is old wooden home on piers so the big wood roaches can be problematic. Since I started using this I don’t see many live ones at all but lots of dead and dying ones

Looks like the same active ingredient. I'll give that a go and just toss a handful around the attic

I have silverfish issues. Seem to be coming from between the first and second floors. No idea how to treat.

I don’t know how effective it is against silver fish, but I use boric acid and it will frick up roaches like nothing else on the planet. The few times I’ve had to use it, i see one roach, go put out some boric acid in the usual spots and after a week wouldn’t see a roach for several yrs. I’ve had the same jar of it since I graduated college in 05 because I only use it once every few yrs.

Also it’s pet and people safe and cheap as dirt. Just my two cents.

Seconded. I bet it does work on silverfish but I'm not certain. I put that stuff in any crawl space/cavity I find in my home and shed. I've heard its a safe as table salt but you wouldn't know that from all the warnings on the lables. Since its a naturally occuring mineral I would think it last pretty much forever once you put it out.

Dollar General has the cheapest price I've found. Around $3 for a quart of powder.

I had a terrible infestation of roaches in my shed. Someone told me about BA so I spread some around and within a few weeks those bitches cleared out. Haven't had any problem with roaches since then either.

Boric acid works because the crystals are very sharp and cut open the exoskeleton of the insect. Then, they essentially dehydrate. I'm sure it would work on silverfish.

Diatomaceous earth will do the same.
