Read on another forum where Tred Barta died in Canada. Love him or hate him, he did it the hard way and had fun.

Car accident? Dang. I figured he just got old/worn down.

He was in rough shape a decade ago. Didn't he paralyze himself somehow?

Nonetheless, his show was great back in the day. He was the first everyday hunter. True reality series compared to professional tv hunters.

Of all the things that took him out a car accident is what finally got him. He lived hard and outlived his nine lives long ago. He was one of the best bill fisherman I've ever met.

Is he the one that stalked and shot a bear with a long bow?

Eerie coincidence today.
I haven't heard or seen his show in years, yet I was thinking of this show today for some reason.

RIP my brother.

He’d rub down with shite....face and all, so he could stalk hunt mule deer with a homemade bow and arrow. Dude was hardcore.

Always was a fan of the guy. I followed his trip to Alaska this summer. I feel like he took on the challenge as a get busy living or get busy dieing task. He knew his odds of making it up there and back solo we’re thin and what a way to go out.

He was struggling more than ever with his paralysis, chronic pain, and loneliness. I had a feeling he wouldn’t make it home one way or the other. RIP Capt.
