"rigs, reefs & wrecks" and "anglers guide to fishes of the gulf" have each been on my boat for at least 20 years

RIP Mike. Used to love his site. Then it was nothing but guides posting so I moved on.

It was crazy how popular and influential that site was in the 2000s. And then it seems like it all went away overnight. Mike got on a rant about diversions and it turned people off. I'm sure there was all sorts of other stuff behind the scenes as well.

I used to frequent that site when I had a boat and was fishing all the time. Like you said, once the diversion stuff started it went downhill. One of the pack was the only one that kept it interesting.

Sorry to hear this. I still use rodnreel’s tide charts. Mike once sent me a cease and desist email for a website I had in the 90’s after it was featured on the Times Picayune sports page because he thought I used some of his content on my site. My internet provider’s server crashed the next day because of all the traffic the TP article sent to the site. I lost interest in running a website and Mike’s site went on to be the fishing website for Louisiana.
