What rifle rests do you guys use? I'm looking to upgrade mine. Currently, I use sand bags (which I do not like -- not adjustable) and a Caldwell 7 (good, but not great). My primary requirement is that I need something that is easy to carry around.

I shoot from at Atlas bipod with a rear bag. Easily changes from gun to gun and very portable.

For target shooting/sighting in I just bought a Caldwell Rock BR. Haven’t used it yet but I’m pretty impressed by the quality.

I’ll use a bag for the rear support.

You can get the Rock BR that I talked about or a Caldwell lead sled or something similar.

I will say that the adjustability of the Rock BR is pretty interesting. I’m thinking I will really like it.

I use the little notched bags.
I really like those molded rubber blocks that they have at The CMP range. They work several different ways.
would like to have some of those.

other than that..get a bi-pod.

I use a rolled up jacket on the rail bed of my truck for sight-in. If I am using the bipod then I will quick check with it. If I'm going out beyond 300, a partially filled sandbag is fine.
