People love to shite on this stuff but nothing compares in price and practicality. Sans some seams its almost monolithic making making it 10x easier to clean than tile. When installed over joists it can have some flex which is easier on knees over the years. Glass serveware dropped usually survives. At some point women decided it was horrible dated stuff and refused to have it in their homes.

Absolutely no insulation. It is not a hunting camp if it is insulated

In addition, no corners can be square with plenty of openings for wasp to enter the camp.

Each exterior door must have at least two half empty wasp spray cans located immediately inside the doorway.

And no floors can be level. Both of these are a yuuuge faux pas.

Needs a seven foot long rat snake that wants to snuggle when you're asleep.

For authentic deep south hunting camp design, make sure to have 100 massive wasps that magically appear inside if the temperature climbs over 65 degrees. Said wasps will then need to disappear again once the cold front pushes through.

My favorite hunting camp growing up had two rooms. One was the bunk room with all the beds and a card table. The other the kitchen. We used to cook for 20 on a single burner on top of the dinner table.

Once they brought a tv in, it was all over. You watch the fire, you cook, or you play rook. Those were the activities outside of hunting.

Strip it to the studs so you can foam any openings, change wiring and plumbing and insulate the walls. Salvador any old paneling etc that is worth keeping to repurpose/ reuse and rebuild with a style that is similar to the age place but current materials. It will make your like way better. I took my place to the studs and completly redid the entire thing, but used a lot of reclaimed wood, live edge slab, dirty top wood and brick for floors etc, but also used new cabinets, granite etc. It’s pretty nice to have the modern convenances and the look of old
