Wow did not realize that. I seem them at estate sales all the time. However one never knows how full they might be at an estate sale. I use mine for creme brulee.

I bought 4 of the flame king refillable 1lb cylinders from amazon several years ago. Also bought the refill kit.
I use them all the time with my buddy heater.
Just looked to see what I paid for them…about $11 each. They have them listed for $57 each now. No way I’d pay that. Just refill the disposables and call it a day.

Amendment to procedure...... in lieu of original statement they can be used for target practice but only after a minimum of 12 beers

I use pliers to open the relief valve or simply freeze what’s left and use the 20lb bottle with adapter to fill. I stand the fill bottle upside down and they equalize. I actually enjoyed doing it and drinking a few beers while in the process. I asked the guys at the camp last year who said it wasn’t worth it to bring me their empties….. now 3 of them want the empties back. Toting a larger bottle isn’t an option for me since I move stands often. The buddy heaters are perfect for me
