I think a lot of people not familiar with r/gundeals are missing the fact this was not a place where transactions took place, just a place to announce website where you found deals. Something we do here on the reg, which has never been an issue with Chicken.

Voat may get similar user support in the beginning, but just a glance at their threads on the homepage will tell you it is a community that none of the r/gundeals dealers will want to be associated with. It also seems like there is a large user base there not interested in seeing reddit users migrate there, which the ensuing spam from those individuals could cause users to abandon the platform.

If I remember correctly, Forgotten Weapons made a video a few months ago explaining the blurred out swasticas. He said that he did it voluntarily so that his videos could be viewed in Germany. He said there is an exception for educational videos but it was too much work to get and it was easier just to blur the images so that it would allow for a larger viewing audience.
