I will say, I really want to have a gun that is manufactured by my neighbors with a glock. As long as this is a utility piece, my wife and I can find our personalized firearms.

Sounds like a 19 is the way to go to achieve he first part of this.

Glock owners tend to get butt hurt when you bring up any weakness. Glocks are good guns, but they are far from perfect in design.

No one is getting butt hurt except you, who is living in the stone age making revolvers seem like the end all be all.

They aren't perfect, plenty of guns are most "crisp" shooters and refined.

But if my life depended on it, I would want a semi auto with plenty of bullets. And that semi auto would be a a Glock, period.

A G19 is the only pistol I've ever bought, was recommended one constantly to keep in the nightstand. Shot a few hundred rounds thru it when and have kept it on standby since, not much of a learner's curve to it

If my wife's life depended on it, I'd want her armed with something that she can hit the bad guy with the first 2 or 3 shots. That's all she will have time for. You rely on the Glock koolaid. I'll stick to my stone age mindset, where it's a reality that MOST women will not practice enough to be proficient with a semi auto. Hell, most men I see at ranges don't know how to work their Glocks.

A loaded/ chambered Glock is no more difficult to fire than a revolver. No external safety, just pull out of holster, point, and pull the trigger. If she doesn’t practice and isn’t proficient enough to work the slide on a Glock, how is she going to be able to reload a revolver after only blasting 6 rounds in double action? At least with the modern striker fired pistol she would have over 2.5 times more shots before having to reload.

You must watch a lot of TV and play a lot of video games. I can bet the farm that you have not witnessed an inexperienced small statured person pick up a Glock 19 and shoot it; then pick up a S&W 10 and fire it, to witness the comparisons.

I've witnessed my daughter, who was 10 at the time, shoot my glock 19 and also my gp100.

She shot the glock better

I don't see where I mentioned a gp100 anywhere. My wife shoots any 9mm better than a S&W 686. I was strictly speaking of the model 10.

ETA: A 4" barrel GP100 weighs about a pound more than a S&W Model 10 with a 4" barrel, so it's a very poor comparison.

But they'll practice enough to be proficient with a revolver?

Semiautomatic pistols are far superior to revolvers for self-defense. It's weird to be mad at Glock about that. Let it go.

It's a far simpler thing to operate for 6/7/8 shots

Pulling the trigger 6-8 times is simple enough no matter which firearm you carry.

And the odds of a limp wrist/stovepipe/double feed are far higher with one type than another.

There are people better served by a revolver.

If you really want me to drag you around another thread on this, let's do it.

I suggest you find a revolver thread to push your bullshite, to avoid fricking this one up. Again.
