For sure man. If you need help finding the drain, post a couple pics of the carb.

The circled one I assume? Looks like it may have blue locktight on it.

Use a socket not a Philips if it has any thread locker on it.

I crank mine once a month and put a load on it to make sure everything is working. I would rather have an issue when I have time to fix it if something was not working properly instead of needing it and it is not working properly. Also when I’m ready to turn it off after my monthly run, I take all the loads off of it and let it run unloaded for a couple of minutes and then close the fuel valve and let the engine run out of gas so no gas is left in the carburetor to gunk up the jet. I have had this generator for about seven years now and it starts on the first pull

I have that generator in the 7000W model. I have had zero problems with it in the approximately seven years I have owned it

Also curious about that exact Westinghouse one. That’s the one I plan on buying. Wanted to keep it under $1000, and the gas AND propane hookup has me intrigued.

One thing I remember reading from past storms using a very loud generator will draw the undesirables to house and a roll off can occur. Of course defense measurements in place can stop that

man, pull the fuel hose off the carb, drain tank into a gas can. Reconnect hose to carb, dump bottle of this into the tank, crank the generator and let run for about 10 minutes. Turn generator off, turn fuel shutoff to the closed position and store the unit. Truefuel won't go bad at all. And that bottle is for 4 stroke motors.Must get the bottle for 4 strokes.
