i catch that same kind of snake all the time around my house. i chop their heads up and hoist it on facebook.

Here's a juvi rat snake. Found this one a couple weeks ago. They look different than brown snakes (if you know what you are looking at and not just chasing it with a rake).

this snake only grows to so many inches... a real small snake i've found a handful around my house.
