Do the juvenile red tails not have red on the tail? Also, it is a big arse bird.

Hard to say because the tail barring isn’t visible and a size reference is tough to determine. A red-tailed has a light tail with dark barring, a red shoulder has a dark tail with light barring. Could be either. Definitely not a Coops
