I'm planning a bachelor party for sometime in April and May and we are thinking about taking a rafting trip.

Any suggestions for places in Arkansas? That is the closest to Baton Rouge so easiest for a weekend trip, but I'm open to other suggestions in Tennessee, Georgia, or other states.

We are looking for fun rafting for about 10 people, cabin rentals, maybe camping and mountain biking. Close to a town that has some decent bars would be cool too. TIA!

Mulberry River is great when it's running. If not, Kings is good but a little far from Fayetteville. Plenty of good camping near Huntsville. My camp is 20 miles south towards the Mylberry.

go rafting down the Ocoee River in southeast Tn. One of the best trips around. You can stay in Gatlinburg, and rafting the Ocoee is only like two hours away. There are cabins near the Ocoee, but not that many bars. There are plenty of outdoor activities near the ocoee as well

Not really sure of any rafting operations in AR. The Buffalo River is a great river to canoe however.

Thanks, I came across Ocoee while I was waiting on replies and that looks like a good option.

Also, the Ocoee is dam controlled so you don't have to worry about the water being too low or too high.

I recommend it for the rafting experience; but for a bachelor party, you may be looking for something a little different.

Buffalo river, Wild Bills Cabins in Yelville, Ar. Buffalo river national park has cabins. The park cabins have a view of the river, but they also have park rangers. Wild Bills has no view and no rangers and is walking distance to Bills sto.

Wild Bill's is great. As far as rafting, it really depends on the water depth on the Buffalo. I know that Wild Bill's will not rent rafts unless the water level is over a certain level.

Spring River near Hardy, Arkansas is enjoyable - water level is never an issue, as it is spring fed year round. It is a ways away though, very close to Missouri border to the NW of Jonesboro.

Caddo River near Arkadelphia would be closest to you. Several places to stay in the area. I think there are some cabins on Lake DeGray which is right there close. If not there are some affordable resorts or local hotels too.
