I'm just being argumentative for the heck of it. Mostly to get my post count up and was just wondering if there was legit purpose for them besides snipers killing bad guys.

Besides the hearing benefit, nuance animal hunting at night and being nice to your neighbors...

Stop believing everything you see in movies?

Suppressors are without a doubt a form of hearing protection. I don't shoot my 300 blk out of 5.56 without a suppressor anymore.

Actually it would hurt ballistics on the sniper rifle as it slows the projectile down. Not allot of benefit on a super sonic round besides a reduction in noise. Supersonic round will still give that crack.

This goofy act has exactly a 0.0% chance of getting signed into law. None. Nil. Naught. At least it's fun to be hopeful, I guess...

Why would the regular joe need to go buy a suppressor?

Edit:It's hilarious that suppressor lovers are using "hearing protection" as the vehicle to get this passed.

I know, fricking hearing, right?

I don't really want to give my mailing address out to some website I know nothing about.

I started to do it but backed out.
