Can someone explain to my why it is so hard to find any inventory from this company
Brands:
Abu Garcia
Penn
Berkley
Spiderwire
Shakespeare
Ugly Stik
And many more...
It’s time to start Christmas shopping and their online inventories are horrendous. They can’t even keep the distributors such as Bass Pro, Cabelas, tackle Direct and many others stocked.
What gives?

I was just looking for a cheap medium fast rod and noticing the same thing
Pretty crazy...maybe it's the Chinese suppliers?

Everybody and their mama picked up fishing during the summer of COVIDIOT. I saw plenty of Penn combos, battle II and III at Basspro. It is probably the best thing they make, at least best value items they make. Ugly stik is OK, but really only good for kids and inexperienced people that don't know how to not break their rods. The Ugly stik tiger rods are great for what they are designed for, but still not sensitive at all.

I walked through the Bass Pro in Denham Springs last weekend and it was quite impressive how little stock they had on general rods and reels. They we’re definitely stretched thin and let’s not get me started on tackle. I know the summer of COVIDIOT drained inventories early but I figured they could have reloaded by now...

Most of their stuff comes from China or other Asian countries.
They are not the only industry dealing with shortages that are doing well.
They project sales and have pre seasons orders which help guage sales. Then the factories build product and ship it. Probably the reason I-cast is in the late summer is to give mfg time to build the product and ship it.
This year there is just a high demand on their products which is a good thing for them.

Shows how f’ed up this whole China thing is.
Used to be there was 300 people in my home town making fishing tackle and supplies. Supporting a family. Now they work at Walmart selling Chinese crap tackle and barely make enough to get by.
Bad news.
