If I hadn’t got one in jail already that’s what I would get. The omega and then one of the octanes for free.

We bought an Osprey 9 today. Already filled out the registration to get the process started for the free 45k.

I received a confirmation email from SilencerCo earlier today that they received the registration and they are working on getting an Octane 45k sent to my dealer.

Holy shite! Those are ridiculous prices. Makes me sick to think about what I paid for my Saker and Octane 45.

Any benefit to going with one of the rifle models over a pistol model for running .300blk on an SBR? Looking at it and thinking I could put it on 9mm pistols as well just not sure if it's ideal for the SBR setup.

So tempted to pull the trigger due to the deal and pickup a rimfire model also

Better make sure that pistol suppressor is rated for supersonic ammo and not just subsonic.

A rifle suppressor would be built for higher pressures.

Y'all are over thinking it. Don't get caught up in the mess of which is quieter/better/etc. , SiCo makes good cans. If you are going to be shooting .300BLK supers out of a short barrel don't get a pistol can. Get the Omega or Hybrid or Chimera for rifle stuff. When it comes to deciding on the free octane pistol can get the 9mm if that is all you are ever going to shoot otherwise get the 45. Get the 'K' if you want to sacrifice less volume and weight (less suppression) for the advantage of a lighter can. People say the 'K' config is popular for pistols because your handgun is your secondary weapon and if you have to switch to it sound suppression isn't as important since the fight is obviously already well underway. From a range guy shooting perspective you just want to be under 140 decibels for impact noise hearing safety per OSHA. Keep in mind impact noises arent sustained noises like repetitive shots so HP is still required if you care about your hearing. Don't get caught up in decibel numbers because there is no standardization for such and different ammo in different guns will produce different than published results. In reality it's all about tone. 130 decibels at one tone sounds way quieter at another tone. This is the future of designing cans.

TLDR: if you want to do rifely things out of a suppressor get the Omega. If you want to do rifely things really fast get the Chimera or Saker. If you want a can to shoot big bore and use on handguns get the Hybrid.

Didn't plan on buying them but this was too good to pass up. I bought a thunderbeast takedown a few weeks before so now I'm waiting for 3. I'll have a kid before the first one comes in and the wife will probably be baking the second before I get them all in.

received approval on the Osprey 9 yesterday and picked it up. No I have to wait for another 10 months for the free one (Octane 45K) to receive ATF approval.

My cc was billed on 9/6/18 for my omega. Still haven't gotten my tax stamp. Called yesterday & she said was still "pending."
