Oh landa is definitely grade A. But you're definitely gonna drop some money on it. I'd love to have one.

After wasting money on one and repairing another, I'm ready.
Landa made one for around $650, IIRC. When I get the house done, if I have any money left, I'll get one.

My Honda and Cat setup ran fine commercially for over 3 years. Now one of them is still pulling home detail for over 4 years. Only problem came from a neighbor letting the pressure build for too long. Now the Cat pump needs new seals.
But I also paid 2k for those setups.

Yeah, that's good stuff. Those pumps are around $250 or so, I think.
I was trying to stay somewhat close to the OP's price range.

The pumps are significantly more than that. Close to $1,000, I think. I havent had to replace one so I am not sure. The rebuild kits are around $250.
I had nothing to really offer the OP so I just threw my general knowledge into a pressure washing thread.
Honestly though, I would just buy cheap cheap pressure washers for around the house. They will get the job done for a year or two then throw it away. You can find some great deals on some cheap ones (less than $100) used online.

It really don't matter what engine is on a pressure washer. The pump will almost always be the first to go. Get a washer with the seperate motor/pump assembly not one with the pump mounted directly to the engine and use after run lube in the pump to prevent electrolysis from eating away at the aluminum. Best would be to get a washer with cast iron pump to eliminate electrolysis all together.
