Predicting the Chinquapin spawn?

I've only stumbled upon them whilst bass fishing. Never heard any rules or sayings on them? Any way to predict this?

They spawn after the bass. Usually early spring when it starts staying consistently warm.

Nope. A Chinquapin is a different fish than a Blue gill. Blue Gill is what most people call a bream.

Negative, redear sunfish and bluegill two different fishes.

OP, I think they spawn same time as bream, they just like a little different habitat.

I have never caught them until it gets hot as hell. I usually bass fish Friday evening. Mark the spots where I get a bunch of little bumps.

Next day go to those spots with crickets and it is usually pretty easy pickings.
