I swear I either heard one of these go off right at dark when bow hunting about a month ago
or it was a meth explosion in the Alabama woods because it was a good ways off and sounded nothing like a shotgun, high powered rifle, or anything else I've ever heard while hunting.
My dad was asleep in the camp house with the tv on and it woke him up. I got back to the camp and my BIL, me, or my dad have never heard something like that around there

No pic, but grandpappy's police Win. Model 1200 12 ga. Riot. Lost a Model 12 12 ga. & 20 ga. in Katrina, as well as his Colt .38 detective special. Other grandpaw's decked out M1 carbine is still kicking, but saltwater f'd up the gold and nickel sections.

I guess a benefit of being a waddling fatass is that you can hide a humongous chunk of iron in your fat rolls.

Most prized?
I guess the Luger my grandfather sent back from fricking up Addy H's little scheme.
Most beloved, my Ruger Superblackhawk .44mag, 10.5"
We call'er big iron. Bad bitch. Smoke you from far away

Grandpa's 38. It was probably the cheapest gun on the market when it was new (RG) but it protected him a few night's at his service station across the street from the northwestern campus.
Don't have a picture of the other but it's my great grandpa's savage 24. It's at the smith's getting the selector and stock changed.

Yours is a real Beauty and valuable as well. My Winchester M1 Garand is a 1943 but is not pristine. But I do have the lockbar sight. That's a plus.
