I’ll have to check out the Boat Monkey
Sounds like the only one mentioned in the thread that I haven’t
Fished this past wknd and set up 2 rods under cork. One w 4H and one with the generic snap on from Walmart (red top, green bottom)
If by myself, not a big deal, but if someone else using, they invariably will leave cork along the rod when running from spot to spot, and I don’t want the weights on the 4H slapping against my custom rods. Also more tangle issues with novices, along with no depth adjustment.
I realize the snap-ons could lead to weakening the line, but not fishing trophy trout areas and the remote possibility of losing one trout with a 15 trout limit is not enough to bother me

Pro tip; take the line 6” above cork and wrap around the closest guide by spinning the rod left or right. Your corks will no longer rattle or shake when underway. Most wrap the cork around the rod and they will vibrate loose eventually.

Or wrap the line under the reel mount and hook through furthest eye.

Can you two provide an illustration of these techniques in MS Paint?

Do Not Do This!
Fing grinds my gears when someone puts a hammer ok in a guide as a hook holder. Doing that fatigues the metal around the insert eventually causing it to break.
Wait for me to hand you a rod, and when you’re done with it just hand it back to me, got it?
WTF is MS paint?

To avoid the cork from slapping the rod while running, I loop the bait and cork around my reel and hook it to the first guide.

25 years full-time on Lake Lanier. About to get things going here in the Gulf. Just needed a little time to get my Tackle business settled and family settled.
Tampa Bay to Sarasota will be my target area. Come on down let's go.

Nice area. We've got a big office down there that I've been trying to find an excuse to go visit, so I can fish a couple days.
You have any social media/website for your business that you can share here?

Very soon. I should have everything up and running in a few weeks.
