Why not go for a 12' aluminum flat?

12' minimum. If you're a big boy like me you will regret getting anything smaller.

Could always get a paddle boat. That way it can be used for more than fishing on the pond. Most have a bracket for a trolling motor.

Just find something around 12 ft that doesn't have a title. They usually sell for pretty cheap.

I've been real pleased w/ my "Pond Prowler" from Bass Pro Shop. It's 10 foot long and easily accomadates two fishermen. It runs well w/ the 55# thrust trolling motor. I can load into the back of my truck easily by myself. Granted, I'm using it on small ponds, but it's been real stable. It's also roomy enough to carry food, multiple rods/reels, tackle boxes, etc. I've recently seen similar boats at Academy.

I recently purchased the OldTown 10' Angler at Academy. Very pleased. Fits well in the back of the pickup. Easy to carry. Can carry the boat overhead if needed. No need for electric power on a small water boat
