Zanfel is the best. It washes the oil off your skin, and kills the itching. Only thing besides steroid shot that works. It also stops it from spreading.

I get poison ivy only in the tender spots. Back when I deer hunted a lot I would climb trees in the dark, in the winter you just have vines and no leaves.....I would get the poison on my hands then scratch my eyes and take a piss. A couple time I had perfect thumb prints of poison ivy on my unit...and eyes swollen shut.

When i was around 13 we burned firewood with it originally on it. Got it from head to toe. Was one visit from getting iced down in the hospital. One eye was shut and the other very close. Makes the flu look like a pssy, or anything else.

There was some clear menthol type gel at one point on the market..it dried it up so fast it would leave scars.
It's off the market, prolly had some mustard gas in it.
I go straight to the Dr. now, shot and dose pack. It ain't worth fighting it.

When I was in thte navy, on an overnight excursion......we all got red bugs, some got poison sumac....but one guy a notorious skank pronger had a tick crawl just inside the little hole at the end of you guessed where.......many that dude was in agony...

Ill 2nd that, my poor lil bro cant even go in the woods with out getting at least 2-3. Last time we went to check the cameras I had 3 on me and he had 5. Grass is long as hell bc we are about to bail. Be the last time I go without dousing myself in 100% deet.
