The choice is between a Glock 43, Sig P938 and the Kahr CM9. I chose the latter. A hip pocket kydex rig for normal wear, and a front pants pocket rig for when wearing a backpack. I ground the hell out of the corners, and polished them, both for the sake of comfort and to make it look exactly like a wallet in my pocket. Nobody thinks anything of it when they see that you have your hand in your pocket, and the robber has TOLD you to reach into your pocket, eh? Thus, he EXPECTS to see your hand coming out of your pocket, holding SOMETHING. By the time he can notice what's really in my hand, decide to do something about it, and then reverse his "dont fire unless" message to his hand, I'll have already brained him.

For long drives, I remove it from the pocket rig and stick it in my waistband, under my shirt. If I had a desk job, I'd move it and its rig into my front pants pocket while sitting down. The pocket rig lets you palm the rig and gun from the pants pocket to the coat pocket, when you go out into bad weather, and vice versa when you get in out of such weather. A belt rig, in bad weather, makes you fight your way thru TWO garments, in order to get out your gun, and maybe also handicap yourself with gloves. With your hands in your pockets, you dont need gloves. So that's another bonus. I used to be a cocked and locked SA guy, but i dont trust the Sig brand anymore, their customer service sucks.

Drawing against the drop is a pretty advanced and high-risk manuever out of a proper IWB holster. I would imagine the skill and risk would be compound trying to draw out of an essentially "floating" holster and cleanly clear the gun from your pocket. I mean shite, it takes me a second and a little fidgeting just to get my keys out of my pocket when I'm sitting down.

I don't think you understand the skill of the OP. He's not drawing the gun from the holster prior to the shot. He simply performs a reverse left double somersault half twist, temporarily stunning the assailant, then fires through his britches into center mass of the perp without ever drawing. It's an advanced move. You wouldn't understand.

I own a CM9 and it's a fine gun. Also own an LC9s which is also good. I would not pocket carry that Sign with an exposed hammer.

Just shoot them all into a barrel of sand when you go. Pick the one that feels best.

If I am carrying, and someone approaches me wanting my money the only thing I am drawing is my cash to hand over, and hopefully I leave without ever having to show my weapon.

Not with a Glock you aren’t, unless you just want to shoot your dick off one day soon.

I like my nano. I know a lot of people hate it, but it’s now pretty much the only carry for me during the work week because I drive a lot and it’s really comfortable.
But as far as the performance, as long as I’m using 124 grain ammo, it’s pretty dam reliable.

I used front pocket carry initially for a Keltec PF9 and now a Kahr CM9. I think the CM9 is the best 9mm for pocket carry. The 43 is a little bigger and doesn't fit as well in my pockets. Although I have a Kimber Micro 9 (basically the same as the 938) that I used for concealed carry, I don't use it for pocket carry. For pocket carry, I prefer the smooth contour of the CM9 (e.g. no external hammer or beavertail) over the Micro 9/938.

Why not just pull the entire gun/holster out of your pocket and set it by your seat? When you get out of the car, put it back in your pocket. For anyone else reading this, like many, I fall into the camp that does not recommend carrying a handgun without a covered/protected trigger in the waistband; an unprotected trigger is an unsafe trigger.

You mean as if it’s in not in a “inside the waistband holster”? Or are you saying those holsters are inherently unsafe? I used to carry back in the states all the time with one of those. But I’m married and don’t need my junk all messed up before I have kids
