You wouldn't porpoise if you had it trimmed down. And no. I run 50-60mph pretty much everywhere I go

Creating a false argument that mimics the argument of your opponent in order to pick apart what you are representing as their argument is a straw man. Check it, I know how much you like wikipedia: Straw man

I think YOU don't know what it means. Good try, though. Now go find a some obscure psychological condition to compensate for your being wrong.

I was making a porpoise reference to your hypothetical person not knowing how to trim their boat.

Then you just don't know how to apply it.

Saying something doesn't make it true. His picture of a "planing" boat sitting in the water with no hydrodynamic lift while doing 30 MPH with the trim all the way down is the very definition of a straw man.

What? You don't like it when other people respond with nothing but baseless insults? Seems like your M.O.

Dude. It was a fricking hand-drawn picture. I spent all of 5 seconds drawing it. It still proves the point that you are wrong. I bet you fish by yourself

What makes you think he fishes. Hell, his arguement makes me wonder if he's ever been in a boat at all.

the point is that he has no friends to go with

Eta: he might not have ever been in a boat but is basing his opinion on something he thinks he learned in school

To be fair, I had not been in many boats before I got my driver's license either.

You don't argue with those subject to Dunning–Kruger. You just do your best to assist them going forward.
