Do y’all know of any places I can shoot my gun near Lafayette or Opelousas besides Sherburne? I love Sherburne but I’d like something a little closer.

There's that new indoor range on Chemin Metairie in Youngsville. I think there's a new one in Maurice too.

eta: Depends what you're shooting.

Fuselier complex in Arnaudville but you have to be a member and I don't know right off hand if they are taking new members. I always went to Sherburne because it was closer for me but I moved up west monroe. I don't know of any 100yd range other than those 2 in the area.

I’m talking about shooting skeet. So my best bet is keep going to Sherburne?

Bring your own thrower if you do. There were four when I went a couple months ago and only one worked, barely. Almost broke my arm because some arse left one of them cocked and I did'nt realize it.

I have a box of clays if you ever want to get together and shoot at Sherb. Darn box has just been sitting in my closet for a while now.

It's a little drive, but if you wanted to shoot 5 stand go to Woodworth. $5 a round. Me and some friends go every now and then. It's worth the trip.

There's your answer. I prefer Wilderness the best.

It’s basically sporting clays on a condensed course.

Is wilderness open to public? I’ve never been. Also, is it walkable? Some of these SC course are long as shite

Woodworth honestly is not much further than Sherburne. Is it well worth the extra drive because if I’m already driving 50 plus miles then 20 more doesn’t hurt? Sherburne is okay but the throwers are all broken and messed up now and it’s kind of a pain to get to. Is the Woodworth range located right off of 49?
