Places to fish in BR

Hey guys, started working in BR so looking for a spot to fish. Pond from the banks preferably. Not looking to fill the freezer, just pass a few hours before or after work and would catch and release everything most likely. Would like to target bass but I'm fine with whatever is available. Are any of the BREC parks decent?

Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries stocks several ponds throughout the state with channel catfish and rainbow trout. I've taken my son to the ponds in the Lafayette area and have caught some decent Catfish at times. (I don't know anything about catching rainbow trout.)

RIP OB fishing pond thread. It’s been a minute since that happened.

What area(s) do you live/work?

I live on the Northshore area but commute to downtown area right now.
Luckily my schedule has some flexibility so I can check out some places that way in the morning and it doesn't have to be in BR. Anything in Walker or Denham Springs that's on my way is fair game as well.
I have a few places I fish but just wanted to see if there were any spots I was overlooking that way.
Thanks all.

Are your current places on the northshore, and if so, where?

There's a pond around Essen Lane/I12 that produces some decent sized bass. Gf and I would fish it when I'd get off in the morning, whole area was empty til 9am or so.

Not for eating, but plenty of huge catfish right there in the Mississippi River.

Fish the ponds in the neighborhoods off of Burbank if you care to venture out that way. Buddy sent me this from University Villas the other day.
