feel your pain. I just traded in a 2008 Chevy 2500HD Z71 with the duramax diesel. It kept eating glow plugs, I had to get the oil pan resealed, changed out passenger side power locks. When i traded it in I had another glow plug out, drivers side power lock was out and all the speakers except the tweeters quit working on the radio

I have the same truck with 145,000 trouble free miles except for the damn power locks.

I owned 3 Fords before I bought my Tundra. No major breakdowns with the Fords, but always something annoying like power windows going out (several times on 2003 F-150), door handles breaking, etc. I have put 20K on my Tundra in 13 months with no complaints.

I've had all that shite off mine since 30k miles. It instantly got 2.5-3 more mpg.

That's nothing.

My first car was a 1985 Toyota Cressida and it burned about 2/3s of a quart of oil with every tank of gas. Those Toyota straight sixes (5M-GE) used in the Cressida and Supra were known for their oil consumption. Of course when I finally sold it it did have 212,000 miles on it so it wasn't worth trying to fix the leaks.

I thought it was almost impossible to de-EPA the new ones and still get it inspected?

I'd love to have a brand new dodge if I knew I could get all the bullshite cut off it and still be legal.

Call ford and tell them to start offering 6 speeds again and ill get one.

I will not buy a 3/4 ton truck with an automatic transmission or IFS. Absolutely not going to do it. I don't even want a diesel but that's the only ones you can get with a standard.
