Went with tigerfoot to Kincaid Saturday and we kept these from just a few spots. Very aggressive and only threw two back. Left them biting as we got what we needed for our families plus a little give away to friends. Gray/blue/gray hair jigs. The perch piccata was absolutely awesome last night.

Did they move back in somewhat "shallower" or are they still suspended deep and just starting to feed good?

These were deep, but I guarantee you many are shallow. I have learned over the years that my shallow grass pattern at the two lake I fish the most does not work under these weather conditions. If we get a little frontal return, humidity and clouds, it will be on in 6' to 10'.

Hey old friend! :)

Thought about you today. I'm goose hunting in Alberta with my father. And they've had 4 or 5 dry winters in a row. And the Huns are everywhere. We bump multiple coveys a day and obviously we aren't even trying.

It's almost like whenever you get out of the truck to creep along a fence line to look at a field full of geese, you jump a covey of Huns within 200 yards.

I'm sure with a dog working ditches and breaks and fence lines you would find unlimited birds.

That is awsome to hear, Hoss and I were in Montana last month and got into good numbers of huns. They are a great bird to hunt. How did you do on ducks? A buddy was just up there and I saw a lot of snaps of ducks pilling into farm ponds

When I started coming up here 15 years ago all the potholes were full and it was like 70% ducks and 30% geesem. Now all the potholes are dry. And most of the sloughs are dry. And some of the big lakes are even dry. The landscape has totally changed. So it's now 80% geese and just a few ducks. We've been doing OK on geese. Not as good as past years. It's just too dry here. Might have to move further south.
