Always a great event. Have a plan, and be ready to alter it based on conditions. Good way to meet talented fishermen and gain more skill yourself.

I fish it every other year or so, I enjoy it. I have placed a couple of times but nothing to get excited about. The conditions look good for the weekend, just hope all this wind lays down and lets the water cleanup.

I'm entered as well as a couple others from the OB. I have zero expectations for this weekend other than to get a T shirt and drink some beer.

Did you really just violate the #1 rule in kayak tournament fishing? No talking about the "W" word before tourney day!

I think I might need some more practice myself. I'll give you a shout when we head out again.

Weigh in is at Topwater Marina in Leeville, boundaries are from Golden Meadow to the end of LA1. So I'm sure Basons, GM public launch, and the Leeville launch will have most of the crowds.

Top Water Marina in Leeville but you aren't required to launch from there. That's just the weigh in location.

My son and I will be there; heading down friday morning.

Will be the first time out on the water in months, so hopefully I can find them on friday!

Bringing some extra kayak straps with me. . . just in case.

Not fishing the tournament, but I am going to Top Water Marina this weekend. Top Water is a great spot. The new owners really stepped it up.

I plan to run a bit to keep my boat out of the way of the tournament folks. That tournament typically brings a good crowd.

Hopefully you have done this before. Captains meeting Friday night will bring 250+ people. 300+ are expected to enter due to the forecast. Its going to be packed with yakkers (trailers and trucks with yaks hanging out).
