Looking to start building my outdoor kitchen out of brick and was trying to get ideas for the OB about do's and don'ts for the kitchen. It will be inder a cover and have a sink, fridge, Primo grill and side burner. Then I will build an island out of cypress mainly for counter and cabinet space. Please post pics if possible for ideas. TIA

I had my builder do mine when i built. I have a 30” gas bull grill, sink, beverage fridge, and a primo junior. I basically drew it in cad and had the brick guys build it to my drawing. It came out just like i wanted. I may sell the junior for a larger one. I use it a lot and enjoy it but the gas grill is nice for quick cooks.

I bought all the components myself and had them do it. The granite was included in the deal. It’s a pain to keep clean but it will hold up. I have a plug in the wall i use for fryer and electric knife.

I also added a stub out for natural gas for my crawfish burner. Will try new burner next weekend

On the opposite wall i have a 50” tv on a swivel mount. It works well i just need to add speakers.

I’m looking to get rid of beverage fridge and get a stainless one if anyone is interested.

Here’s some pics feel free to Ask any questions

Not that i have noticed i use a fan to push smoke out...I’m installing a hood vent this summer. Outdoor ones aren’t cheap. My buddies outdoor brick behind his grille is black but they installed his too close. Mines over 10” from the back of the wall. So i have t noticed any issues with the smoke yet.

That’s is solid brick in that area. With a slab of granite over it. I told them to make it solid Being they are heavy. I since bought the primo feet to elevate the primo. It will crack granite and the primos require air flow under.

Chad...the tv is a 50” looks smaller in that pic. Does the job just fine for 200$

There was a poster here a while back who built a really nice outdoor kitchen himself, but it had No Colors to it. Found the old thread but all the pics were hosted on Photobucket and no longer able to linked on 3rd party website.

Is that beadboard planks or panels. I'm fixing to build a house and we are doing the front porch and rear porch with beadboard. I'm undecided if I want to do planks or a 4'x4' grid pattern with panels.

That is 1x6 tongue and groove pine with the grooves facing down. My fireplace is also built with this and my barn door.

I built the barn door out of tongue and groove and then used regular 1x6 to frame front up

Did the fireplace like this. Something besides brick and it came it great

Came across this thread as I was looking for ideas to add an outdoor area to a house were looking at. WHODAT- how long is the length of that total area from house to the other side of the primo?

My outdoor kitchen, dining, living is 44 x 16. It leads into 1300 square feet of pool decking.

I made sure to add ceiling fans, oscillating fans above the cooking area.

I have a sink—love
36” black stone converted to natural gas
36” blaze gas grill
Costco pit boss egg imitation
Blaze beverage fridge

I use it all regularly. I can’t recommend any one thing over the other. Do what you can afford and what you enjoy.
