I never trespass, I always first call and tell them the situation. Besides I like to always meet the neighboring landowners if I’m somewhere new. I’m a coonhunter and almost never have problems. But it’s the same as the houndsmen that run deer. I have a good friend that runs them and they never have problems with it. The neighbors and them have agreements made out and everyone is happy. People just need to get out and talk to one another you could meet some great people. That’s how I get most of my permission to hunt different tracts of land. Everyone I talk to has problems with the coons tearing up their feeders and eating all their corn they spend money own. But I’m never an arse about it.

This is the issue. Can I just hunt your land, shoot something, then just explain the situation later? If so, let me know where I can hunt for free.

How many times do you get to trespass without repercussion? Not trolling, serious question

I’m not going to quote case law for you. You’re wrong and I’m well within my rights to shoot a dog that is harassing my animals whether it has your tractor supply collar on it or not.

Also, hunting with dogs is an OLD way of hunting. It was done to ensure people had food by moving the deer when deer weren’t moving. It’s not needed anymore.

Apparently you’ve never hunted over dogs. Just because the dogs are running, doesn’t mean the deer are. Obviously I’m not taking shots with a bow on a running deer. And as for my neighbors dog shitting on my porch, it’s not a problem because I have fence around my yard.

I had a guy 2 years ago at 8:30 in the morning standing in the middle of my food plot listening for his dogs. My nephew was in my stand and texted me pics. I get there and the dogs are running up and down this pipeline that my stand was on. I see a dog take a piss on my feeder.
I came fricking in glued on that guy. I tried to be civil at first but he gave me a attitude so I said frick this. I’ll never forget what he said after I went on and on about private property- dude hit me with “well what are you gonna do?” While he was walking off into the woods.
Told him straight up I wasn’t hunting deer anymore and I would kill every one of those goddamn dogs on my land. I couldn’t actually squeeze off on them because it didn’t feel right but god I was furious.
You guys are some real skilled badasses driving 90 on a dirt road to go stand on the road and hope a deer runs across. Daniel Boone would be so proud

I like how the trespassers are in here disparaging the stand and still hunters as cornpilers; as if their brand of deer hunting requires a tremendous amount of woodlore and trade craft. You're not hunting; your dogs are. You're just standing still waiting for an unethical shot on running deer. Get over yourselves.

Well one thing is certain. The days of releasing the hounds are slowly coming to an end!....

Just got a text from my cousin. The dog guys next door are running dogs out of season (MS) and are lining the roads on fourwheelers. They have a guy at the only road in watching for wardens as usual. He's heard a couple of shots from them.
