I know you like your truck being fast and all, but you need to put some iron on the front

maybe you are foo(sp?) and don't want your identity revealed...
foo always came with MJ and RJ hunting...that boy had some messed up front teeth they almost stuck straight out...I guess he could have been a relative, but I thought for sure it was MJ's friend...

Hunting with them in Mississippi? I'm sure I've met him. It just doesn't ring a bell.

can't afford that extra weight...
plus mine is an 01' and just before that drag race video, I put an 06 front bumper and grille on it...
I didn't invest all that money to go slower than when I started...

Does having a bumper eat your tires?

If you get a heavy bumper/winch and don't get stiffer springs to hold it up then it will for sure. Otherwise you'll get slightly more wear but not much.
Most of the extra wear goes to the ball joints and steering stuff. Some bumpers like ranch hands are not overly heavy and won't hurt anything though.
ETA: Trucks with solid front axles don't care about the extra weight.

On a solid axle, its nothing. On a IFS, it can be troublesome.

Well since you've been gone I feel as if I should update you on the van. An old hippie vw van nut offered me 2 gs for it. Thinking about selling old blue and gettin a 94 econoline with a v10.

Yea they are pretty ridiculous. Mine has totaled a dakota, an astro van, more than its share of deer, been smushed against trees for winching, and all kinds of other really bad shite. It's incredibly well built, but they are also incredibly expensive and the paint isn't all that great.
I had to put 1 ton diesel torsion bars under the front to hold the winch/bumper level. The front end comes up 4" when you take the bumper off.
