I got upgraded. This is our first year on the lease, and the guy who owns the place lets his son guide out of the "best hole".

Yesterday he was talking with my blind partner who went by himself. He said, "Y'all are serious, huh? I wanna go in the morning but don't have a trip booked, wanna come hunt my blind with me?"

Word is he's killed a limit every day he's hunted so far... so I'm pretty sure we're not gonna see shite.

Change of scenery sounds good though. It's on the fields the land owner floods with our slough we leased.

Made it out again today with my son. Slow is all I have to say, but we did get saved by a band of about 40 birds just as we were about to quit for the day. We baged our limit.

OK people, I'm going to let the cat out the bag now that I will just make one more teal hunt, maybe. 80% of my teal hunting has been at *************** WMA. I guess that's how it is spelled.

Problem is now that the water has dropped big time. One has to drag a pirouge with gear all the way to the lake. Very little water in the bayou now. Has gotten to hard for me along with the birds getting very thin.

Over all, I had a great season with 9 days of hunting. Limits every day besides opening day.

Done.

Me and another buddy from Marksville snuck out of Army training in MO many moons ago, only stopped by his parents house to get boat, guns and dekes, went straight to that WMA at 2:30am. We put the pain on the greenheads. That's a damn good WMA for waterfowl. I'm not sure if you should have let that cat out of the bag with all these college kids on this board. I actually thought you found some birds on Cat Island.

Wasn't gone to go, but got up early and threw everything in the truck and headed out.

Saw a few bands of well over 100 teal, but they wouldn't even look. Fog came in just after shooting time and it was thick to were I couldn't see no more then 50 yards.

Fog thin out after 7:15, then started putting down a couple birds. Wasn't till 8:15 that I baged my 4 teal for the day. Fog thined out to were I was able to see a few hundred yards and was able to call a few in.

38 teal for 10 hunts. I just might make 2 more hunts before the season is over.

5 of us limited out in about 45 minutes. We stayed another hour or so to talk and just watch them keep coming in. The teal were coming in around 8:00 by the hundreds and we saw a few dozen pintails as well. It was weird how the birds weren't flying early but then showed up altogether at the same time. 2 of our 20 were green-winged. The picture is horrible.

Also, I have a legal question. If I were to bring a friend and both of us have guns is it okay for him to shoot my limit? I've never done it but was curious. Two people and two guns but one guy shoots all 8 birds? I know some older guys do this for their kids and some girls do it for their man. TIA

Yes, I would think so. We don't keep tally of how many birds we shoot just how many are on the water. on the good hunt this morning! I'm going to try one more hunt on Sunday.

For real, one only suppost to bag there limit of 4, but greenjeans most of the time will turn there head to a limit of 8 for 2 people that are hunting the same spot together.

No diffrence if fishing together of two limits of trout with two people on board.

Will be heading out in a few with my son. Woke up a couple hours early.

10 more limits for our place in Welsh this morning. I stayed home this weekend, but might make the drive for a hunt tomorrow morning.

Got out early today with my son. A shite load of new birds. We baged our limit in no time. 7 BW and the first 1 GW teal for the season.

Over all, the most I hunted teal in one season. Made 11 hunts and baged 42 teal myself. It looks like my season is at a close as of today.
