How does it shoot?

Honestly not a setup for maximum precision. Eotech holographic sight with no magnifier. Plus playing around with subs, supers, suppressed, unsupressed. I have confidence to hit a paper plate free hand out to 50/100 yards. But no idea what kind of MOA it would shoot.

Did have issues with the gas port. Such a short barrel with small dwell time of bullet applying back pressure to cycle bolt, I had to drill it out to 1/8". Adjustable gas block was wide open and wouldn't cycle subsonic rounds. But opening up fixed that.

I wouldn’t expect sub MOA or anything…I would hope for 4 MOA at least. I wanted to change my truck gun to something shorter than a 16” and didn’t want a short 5.56. Rosco seems to have good prices and decent reviews on their 8.2” 300blk.

I do this on all my 300 builds and use an adjustable block.

i haven't shot mine in a while. were you able to adjust the gas after opening the port up?

i still had cycling issues with S&B subs with a normal gas block. alot of it has to do with the different powders that companies use.

winchester white box and remington seem to have a better powder burn than S&B for subs. found the info in this video:

I don't, I bought the H&K SP5k. It might be my favorite gun to shoot. They are obviously more but that gun is solid.

Never once has a single issue with FTF, FTE, or anything. It just runs. With and without silencer.

I had one and a K...never shot them...the prices shot up to almost 2x what I paid when they stopped importing them or whatever a few years back and sold both and will re buy some sort of MKE/HK type MP5. I couldn't resist the profits I have read good things about them tho. Not really helpful I know

Yeah, no problems choking it back. Never had an issue with a round since. I admit I did all of this without my can on the gun to ensure it would run without it. So I have some additional back pressure due to the suppressor which I use every time since. But tested it without it first and everything cycled.

Been eyeballing a 14.5 pencil barrel. If I pin/weld a flash hider, are the threads basically destroyed?

Not the way I understand it. Just grind the weld and remove the pin and unscrew the muzzle device. Now it's probably difficult to re-pin a new muzzle device in the same hole, but if you wanted to SBR it, should be able to thread something else on.

Not if a competent gunsmith does it.

I ended up getting the K. Came in yesterday. I have a claw mount and SB folding brace that will be here tomorrow. It’s the -p model that has the 3 lug. My titans 9 with 3 lug fits like a glove. Feel like John McClane at Nakatomi plaza.

What length barrel are you building with. When I built, I wanted a 7-9". Not a ton of options with everything I wanted (material, twist, etc). Ended up with a Roscoe barrel.

I got the 10” aero complete upper

Take it to Jim’s and get Nick to do it. He is a good one and shouldn’t take long. I think they charge $75.

Can y'all recommend an adjustable gas block for my 11.5" Roscoe barrelled upper? I'll be using my Banish 45 can on it.

I have the superlative arms. Easy adjustment with very distinguishable detent positions. Plus it has the option to bleed the excess gas at the block vs just restricting it. Supposed to be less blowback into the receiver.
